LAIRON

Lairon is a piece written during the winter lockdown periode of Covid and it is written for Roadrunner trio. My initial inspiration was “hope”, metaphorically appearing as a musical light beam. The Greek orthodox byzantine hymn of “Fos Ilaron” ; “O Gladsome Light” has been an strong influence.

Music composed by Antonis Pratsinakis and performed by Roadrunner Trio ( Erica Roozendaal Accordeon, Michel Marang Clarinet, Antonis Pratsinakis cello).
Following performance found place in Amsterdam, Uilenburgersjoel , 02-11-2021. Part of our performance at the annual Global Soundscapes Festival / Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra.
